Before i start, i would like to apologize kalau tersilap info ke apa psl mini laptop ni as im also dlm proses learning bout this kind of computer but just wanna share my knowledge and xprience and I do hope it can help korang in making decision in future k.
At first,y mini laptop? One of reason is, it's small and portable kan and also my 1st time xprience to have this kind of laptop. yes i do aim for dell and esp Lenovo, but now ppl will wondering y i choose Asus Mini Eee PC kan? The main reason is it has long battery up to 11 hours which can stay longer compare to other mini laptop. The others reason pulak as it mainly purpose for working only so i just wanna basic software like microsoft office 2007, adobe reader etc which I want it to be include "for free" as in package( plus a good processor but as for mini, it's very limited, please double check which is good for mini laptop but this one Intel AtomN450 ). But not all mini laptop come with M.Office'07 as u will ask to pay xtra charge like RM99 and Rm399 for the original Cd ( which konon2 promotion plg murah for Cds yg boleh share smp 3computers in 1 cds, cd utk intall 1 computer pun katanyadah xde). Yes, mini laptop apparently the most cheapest than normal laptop but still will need to ask for the packages they hav been offered. But in this case, I do aim the cheapest price at certain reason. One of the reason mestilah bajet kan ( org lain bajet raya and i need to proportioned bajet for this mini laptop...haihhh...i cant wait longer after raya and seriously urgent nak beli laptop for working purpose ),the other reason is klu dah tambah charge itu ini smp price between RM1,800 - RM2,000 something for mini laptop, y don't u aim for norml laptop, tambh sket je dah bole beli laptop yg puas hti punya, and of course for long term kan. Plus amik trus the latest Intel Processor i-5, but for mini laptop xsampai tu sbb tu murah.
Most of people akan kata gak mini laptop xpuas, screen kecik sgt. Ok, lemme put this way. Kalau compare surfing pakai phone, which 1 better? Dah mmg trend kan skang surfing internet thru' hp kan, mine also. Kalau surfing internet thru hp selalunya nk tgk fb je. Kalau nk proper surfing memangla xpuas ati tapi tgk gak depends what kind of hp u hav la kan. So i think mini laptop ni tgh2, xde la kecik sgt pun screen die for 10" it's normal, kalau below 10"lagi la xpuas tgk.
But not to be bias, i already have my normal laptop and this mini laptop is my second laptop ( which will be separated for mainly working purpose ONLY). Plus i do love the keyboard and very comfort for typing purpose. Kalau Lenovo seriously keyboard die xcantik sgt and jarak2. Mungkin setengah org suka but honestly Nampak buruk..hahahhaa..yerlah,yerlah..kata for working purpose mestilah org cakap jgn tengok appearance yg penting it's a good laptop kan tapi kalau kita dah mengadap hari2 laptop mestilah at last kita ada a lil bit judgemental kan..hahaha...Lagipun, i more concern bout typing ni because i would like to set up my own blog later *actually dah ada Cuma xaktif je, ahaks!* <-- ini dah lari sket dari working purpose...hehehe...
Y im not interested on dell coz my kazen dah beli the minilaptop and she said the keyboard is not good and xtahan lama <-- ini berdasarkan org ITxpert kt tmpt keje die yg ckap ya!
So actually awal2 lagi i dah tolak dell in my list and aim for Lenovo tapi tu la sbb the keyboard die yg buruk and not a good package offered la ( Tapi kalau normal laptop for Lenovo ni, keyboard die cantik plak..adussss).
Ni satu hal lagi. Dah la pergi low yat most of the salesman yg entertain sumenyer foreigner ( xtaula Pakistan ke, Bangladesh ke...), adehhh,lagi ramai dari Chinese plak tu....boleh caya ke diorg ni n kita mana tau die nk pysho kita ke dahlah semua ayat2 manis... "untuk adik manis...saya kasi special punyer" *blueekkk*
jangan caya ngan diorg ni sbb at last i beli kat salesman melayu gak. After a lot xplaination, kesabaran die melayani pertanyaan bertalu2 and the good packages offered so I made my decision la. And he also said, Asus ni asalnya die buat component2 computer for other famous computer before like motherboard, so it is a very good manufacturer la. So bila die comeout with a good mini laptop so it must be good la ( before this mmg ada normal laptop tapi die xberapa femes gak sbb not for entertainment, byk for business purpose. Lagipun computer lain tu sbb advertising yg gila2 and dah lama establish so maybe well-known kan). Lenovo pun bagus sbb die ada kaitan ke collobaration ngan IBM ( which is one of polopor dlm computer industry ) and my working place also use this kind of brand.
Personally, i been xprienced with some brand of laptop before like NEC ( my 1st laptop..which the ownership dah transfer to my dad, tapi xleh guna pun sbb sgt lama n very low processor ), HP and Compaq (my 2nd laptop and my siblings used this kind of brand also and sekarang byk betul problem and mine actually dah "mati" dah pun and xleh ON langsung so i used to deal this kind of very bad xpriences, dah la masa tu final semester degree ngan fyp berlambak2 ) and lastly Mac ( my last laptop which temporarily ownership bg kat my youngest brother *for entertainment/garageband purpose* ) so here I am with this Asus Mini Ee Pc. My mother use Acer and kt rumah pun guna Dell for Desktop so I pun decide nk try something different kononnya. Hopefully in future i can have the good normal laptop for long term and of course this time I aim for Lenovo! Hehehhe...
I think afterall, it depends kan dgn what kind of usage like for entertainment, for surfing, for business purpose kan. Kalu asyik ngan gaming ke, ngan downloading and exposure ngan virus2 tambah kalau malas scan computer or pendrive even for kerja pun kalau tak maintain a good care mana2 laptop pun takkan tahan lama kan..
Alamak, lupa pulak nak bagitau price, for Dell memang the cheapesttapi xbanyak packages offered and even Microsoft Office'07 pun kena tambah xtracharge. Kalau Lenovo pun sama, antara yg mahal for mini laptop and tambah xtracharge lagi. Kalau Asus ni kata salesman tu the reason diorg offer free sebab diorg beli in bulk so diorg decide nak bagi free kt customers * ni salesman melayu tu kata, kalau die tipu mmg xberkat pose die..hehehehe* So at last, baik lenovo ke dell je dkt2 dlmRM1,500-RM1,600 la tapi Asus ni RM1,299. For me, puas hati la sebab memang rasanya dah survey most of kedai dalam low yat tu, ni paling murah setakat ni walaupun ada sense diorg ni ada gak under 1 kedai tapi offer lain2 harga konon2 nampak murah..huh~ xtaula kan...
